The event featured a captivating blend of music, poetry, and fashion. Accompanied by three Chinese musicians based in the U.S. — on piano, violin, and cello — poets and guests from both China and U.S. took to the stage to recite their works. A highlight of the evening was Zhiyuan Xu, the creator of Thirteen Invitations, who delivered a moving reading of V.S. Naipaul's The Enigma of Arrival in his native Subei dialect.
The three musicians also performed Astor Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons, bringing a rich, emotional depth to the program. To conclude the event, amateur models showcased a stunning runway presentation wearing garments from Yuanjia’s plant-dyed clothing collection, set to live music, creating a beautiful fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary expression.
