Marvin Li, Ph.D.
Co-Founder & Executive Director | Cultural Organizer | Humanism Advocate | Infrastructural Engineer | Serial Entrepreneur
Marvin is a cultural organizer with a background in engineering and a deep commitment to humanistic values. As a Doctor of “Philosophy”, he has long moved between disciplines—building not only physical systems, but also spaces for conversation, collaboration, and cultural exchange, which is far beyond “Engineering” itself.
He believes that in a time when technology moves faster than meaning, what truly sustains us is the richness of shared cultures and the courage to hold complexity. From that belief came the seed of Pinease—a post-pandemic platform for cultural dialogue and community connection, built with partners who care about the same things.
Growing up, Marvin's first glimpse of the wider world was a picture of the Statue of Liberty. Years later, to be living and working in New York—the most diverse city on earth—and to be contributing, in some small way, to its cultural life, feels like both a homecoming and a beginning. He is grateful for the journey, and for the people he has met along the way.
